Youth Financial Literacy

Past Events

We recently partnered with Rogers High School’s Career & Technical Education program to lead a hands-on workshop for students in Retail Small Business and Business Operations classes. Together, we explored what it takes to run a small business and practiced real-world budgeting choices that entrepreneurs face every day.

We’re grateful to Signature Bank of Arkansas for sponsoring these workshops!

Together with Teen Action & Support Center, we hosted a personal budgeting workshop for teens that explored the impact of our values on our spending and savings habits.

A special thank you to GarverUSA and their GarverGives grant, Paul & Karen Gilbert and Scott Lacy for their sponsorship of this workshop!

In partnership with Teen Action & Support Center, we discussed value setting, and spending that aligns with your values, ultimately culminating in 2 budget exercises that demonstrated the power of a high school diploma on your income.

A big thank you to Legacy National Bank for their sponsorship and continued support of our youth financial literacy programs!

Together with our friend and colleague, Bart Tracy from Edward Jones, we met with Camp War Eagle Jr Staff, 18-19 year olds, many of whom were working their first job and are headed off to college or the real world this fall. We discussed building financial foundations, the importance of having a plan for your money, and the basics of investing. Thanks to Bart and Edward Jones for sponsoring these 2 sessions!

We dreamed big with the Juniors of Girl Scout Troop 5016 to talk about our personal finance goals and how we budget to make those a reality. These girls were full of creativity, imagination, and independence – and after building their financial foundations, we know they’re headed for big things!

StillPoint Collective partnered with Camp War Eagle’s OZONE program to bring together the North, Springdale, and Fayetteville groups to build financial foundations with seventy 5th – 8th graders.

Students were asked to explore thoughtful savings and spendings habits that stem from their own personal values, to show how their financial choices align with what is most important to them.

We're grateful for the support of Signature Bank, Legacy National Bank, Sarah Taldo Brothers and Landers Toyota.
